LUSH LIFE

Hi there- I'm Becca an 18 year old student and total LUSH addict. LUSH is a company I have been deeply passionate about for a long time so this blog is dedicated to them Also, a massive thankyou to the amazing Craig/ Coggles (follow this guy.. he is awesome) for making my theme for me. If there is anything you'd like to know don't hesitate to ask.

Who I Follow

So today was wearing. It was the last ever choir rehearsal so we all ended up crying, on top of having lots of other stuff, and revising like crazy at our exam on Thursday. It was busy and tiring not to mention I slept soo freaking bad last night. But  today I indulged to help me calm down and try and give me a spring in my step. While it didnt stop my tired I didnt expect it to, caffeine filled cola and glucose tablets sure as hell didnt. But I broke into my lush stash for “avobath” which I think is turning into one of my two go to products for simple things. It put me in a lovely mood and really did help me work in anticipation of and after my bath. So Yay hopefully LUSH will help me pass RE.

I ended up buying 5 different nail polishes this weekend. I really shouldn’t have. Especially when I am waiting on baited breath for whatever it is that LUSH is releasing on the 21st July as advertised with that slightly annoying but catchy emotional brilliance song. Since be it the long speculated make up range or something different I can guarantee spending a lot of money on that. So i shouldnt be spending it all now, but I promise this is almost the last of it short of a few clothing essentials (real life essentials) but anyway back on point, you’ll understand when you see anyway.

The first is two are from Barry M, as are most of the colours in my collection.

So I got teal

I had seen this and really really couldnt help myself. I just had to get it. its just such a beautiful shade and I think it will be great with a matte top coat

And the second was Mint Cream though I am strongly considering taking it back and exchanging it for a different one because on later reflection I really do not like the colour of it as much as I thought I did and there are other colours that I would rather have had. So I am going to try and do that on monday evening after college.

The third I got was from superdrug’s exclusive brand MUA (make up academy) where most of the products are £1, they have a really tiny range to chose from but I fell in love with Shade 4 which is bright pinky coral colour though the swatch isnt as representative as id have liked (its less red than this). I am really impressed with all of the MUA products but these especially so, I was a little sceptical of the quality when its only £1 but it may actually have the best consistency of all my polishes as its opaque in a single coat.

I also got W7’s cosmic black glitter polish having read about a method for removing glitter polishes (prior to this I was somewhat reluctant to get them because taking them off is a nightmare!!) But this was another one that I saw and had to have because it was so pretty and would work glossy or matte. Its really really gritty but Its something I think I can live with since I manage well enough with the roughness of the black crackle polish.

Then the final nail polish I got was the elf matte finisher clear nail polish. I almost got this a few days ago then decided for some reason not to. But then I am really getting into the idea of matte nails and thought it would be more versatile to get a top coat rather than a lot of matte colours. But that is still being delivered.

I will end up posting another haul for my ebay and a few other things when they all get here and will be doing a few things on youtube at some point soon so keep an eye out.
*Photos aren’t mine as I haven’t had the chance to swatch these for you*

While this isnt the amazing gift from LUSH that costs £100, this is my own idea of LUSH’s best bits based on what I have tried and the products or items I cannot be without, love and repeat by etc. Basically my ultimate faves so far, and is going to *theoretically* be another posting boom now that my exams are almost started and finished and if nothing else, I have the entire summer off in  just under a month. I have tried to include a bit of everything and of course there will be some things that have been missed as including everything would be obscene. So this is the concise list of ultimate faves

Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter

You will have all heard me rave about this 100000 times over about how it is amazing and wonderful and super awesome amazing, and guess what? Thats because it is. I love this product to no ends. It takes me ages to get through either because I forget to use it or just dont get the time to use most of my more treat myself things but this is seriously the beez kneez. It solves so many problems and is actually AMAZING value for money too. Everyone who has tried my tub has said the same and subsequently went and bought their own / begged me to get them one for Christmas or birthdays. It is just so versatile and luxurious but affordable too compared to other similar products that I have seen  o.o I was meant to be keeping these short

Ocean Salt Facial Cleanser

This is something I re bought because it is THAT good. My skin is a nightmare if I dont use it and as much as some people say it is too abrasive to use daily its something I often use twice daily with no problems at all. It keeps my skin really nice and feeling healthy. I was devastated when I ran out of my first tub of this and am sorely tempted by the 250g / £12.50 tub next time I run out purely because it lasts me such a long time and is so great for my uncooperative face. The main thing that gets me with this is IT ACTUALLY WORKS. unlike so many face things I have tried in the past that really dont meet the claims they make.

The Comforter Bubble Bar.

Need I say any more? Really? Don’t we all love this as our friendly pink pick me up? it smells amazing and lasts at least 3 baths, 6 if youre a scrooge. I tend to get 3 or four out of it and its the only bath ballistic I cut these days.

Ickle baby Bot ballistic.

This is a relatively new buy for me because I didn’t think it would be something I liked. But It is super soothing, and as much as I am not usually a giant fan of the camomile and lavender kind of things I really do love this especially if Ive been stressed and need natural help for sleeping. Expectant mums or mums with newborns would probably love this come to think of it just because of how soft cute and soothing it is due to the organic sleep inducing / relaxing effects that lavender has, seemingly especially on infants.

Honey I washed the Kids Soap.

This one is kinda like the comforter and I really dont think it needs justification, Its just so luxurious and amazing. I swear I probably still have over 200 grams of this stashed. Including a bit with the cool waxy stuff on the top. It smells SO amazing and leaves me in such a wonderful mood I’m not sure where I’d be without it.

These two are more odd random things and not so much cosmetics products themselves, but are nontheless things that I ADORE.

Body Butter Tin

I got one of these to store my soaps in in the bathroom to keep them all out of the way of the water and the use of other people but I have found they are so useful that I got another one when I got a few other things, and I think I will continue to get them as and when because they are super useful and as much as they do discolour quite easily if you aren’t careful with them they still do their job well.

LUSH Eccentric reusable carrier bag.

I very nearly didnt get one of these, but I use it for EVERYTHING, from shopping to sleep overs to sports and swimming, and it is still going strong, though slightly discoloured and in need of a wash these are super strong and awesome, and still available on LUSH UK for £2.95 if you search bags in their search bar. I am sorely tempted to get a second one of these purely because of how useful they have been but I love it and use it for everything. I think thats actually why it hasnt been washed.. I dont know what I would do without it.
